Mossel Bay is situated on a spectacular sun-washed peninsula embraced by the warm Indian Ocean. It is also called the “Karoo-by-the-Sea town”, and features in the Guinness Book of Records as having the mildest all-year round climate in the world, second only to Hawaii.
The fascinating history grants the town its status as the historical capital of the Garden Route and one of the most significant towns in South Africa.

Also very popular is the St. Blaize Hiking Trail which can also be run. The full route is 14km and stretches all the way to Dana Bay. The route have a few exits, so if you do not want to complete the whole route, you have a lot of options available. On this trail you will see fynbos, but the most breathtaking experience is, the views from the high cliffs.. This is a must when you visit Mossel Bay. Anyone with a fair level of fitness will enjoy this route.
